Sacred Relations
The African proverb "If you want to go fast, go alone but If you want to go far, go together" encourages a collective effort, suggesting that true community well being, requires collaboration. Being in relationship with folx asks us to speak the truth, to not be fearful of being real, to reveal true feelings in the name of care, protection, and love. We call upon our sacred duty to be in relation, remembering when two or more gather, we can energize our personal journeys, clarify our collective path, and find love in between our difficulties.
